This weekends raiding has been disappointing at say the least, we extended the 25man lockout to try for progression and it went well first attempt was 60% and then attempt 2 was a 20% wipe due to a poor transition. Then we lost a raider to friends showing up and things got worse. It took far to long to get a replacement willing to be saved. Once we found one things just got worse with our best attempt in the next 4 being to 60%. We had to call it when we lost another raider to unknown reasons.
Tonight we went into 10man hoping to get at least one team to Lich King this week. It went about the same having to be call after a long night at Putricide with un-aware trials and someone leaving. The group not stacked for the Lich King is still going in frost halls as we speak which is disappointing but good for them.
Big news for me and my guild, after watching our server slowly die at progression and the few strong on server moving to Horde.
After a week of heavy thinking me and my officers have decided to move the guild to Barthilas. It would be a fresh start free from the name established by the founders of Lifé and away from the poor raiders we have been seeing recently. The guild we aim to make will be a place for mature raiders that can make the times we need, do the work we need and still have fun and do off night events sometimes.
We let the guild know tonight about the change and we had mixed responses, it seems some have surprised us with choosing to come others that we would have liked to follow wont be.
I personally will miss many of those staying behind and hope them well with where they head next. As for me I look forward to a brighter future with a much stronger guild.

Miracles come Short
Well Saturday was a first in quite a while with 23 guildies online for a second night of 25mans. We pulled in a few friends and went in happy and 25 strong, heading to plague we went to take down the easy bosses and then all but progression.
Things didn't stay so strong with us 24 manning Festergut when a healer had an emergency and then a messy Rotface. After rotface we lost one DPS to real life and then another quickly DCd and did not return. While waiting to see if anyone else would come online to fill the spots we tryed a 23man of Putricide.
Needless to say it didn't go great as we did not have enough DPS to put on the slimes. It wasn't all bad with the group still pushing a 60% wipe on the first try.
Then with 2 down already another had to go and that was it for the night.
On the bright side we for the first time in a long while had a Saturday 25man however it was plagued with constant afks and people leaving early, still its an improvement.

The Easy Progression
This night started off very strong with 23 guildies online and the final spots being filled with trials. It was a strong run and we plowed through the first four in under an hour then it was off to Dreamwalker. I'm not sure why we have put her off for so long, she is the last non end wing boss for us to kill.
We should have tyred her long ago the fight went a lot better to getting our 8/12 than BQL has been. The fight got hairy in some places when I had two Aboms and one went down leaving my AD to proc on an Abom and full set of Worms, but mostly it was a good clean fight. It went so well that we one shot her and snapped another shot for the guild site, I even snagged some very nice off spec legs.
After Dreamwalker we headed to BPC and one shot them and took off into BQL's lair once again. Once again no achievement but the raid did well hitting 30% on the first attempt. Later attempts didn't go quite as well with Bites bugging out and not working despite the vamp being right on top of them.
We called the raid after several afks and finally a DC. Hopefully people can make it back tomorrow and we can try finally for some progression.

Divided and Dissapointed.
So I started my week with a little stint in Outland Soloing some old Heroics for memory's and realised I was very close to Exalted with Aldor. After a quick pop to the AH and 200g later on Fel Arments

Friday came around and once again we were short a few for 25mans. Its strange how despite heavy recruiting we are still in the same place. We went as we normally would and knocked out an easy 6 bosses before having to call it a night due to a few being called away.
Saturday came and raids were called on account of to few on, however this time we were short the tank to do two 10mans and instead went to Ulduar to work on those elusive drakes. We made easy work of most of the place even picking up a one shot Freya HM with several who had never done her on normal. For our efforts we were awarded

We had some minor difficulty with Mim but Firefighter was soon down and the General HM followed.
Then we hit Yogg the last wall between half a dozen of us and our drakes. It was messy with people in clouds a lot but this time we weren't carrying anyone and all 10 did their work getting through phases despite all the adds. Several occasions we got to phase 3, once was even a 8% wipe but it started to get messy with even more mistakes. With my partner sick in bed we left it there and Yoggs toothy face smiling at us, still mocking as he keeps our drakes. We will get them though and now we are at his door again we can extend and work him till hes down.
Sunday ended up sharing Fridays fate with raids called early due to people leaving. Although one positive came and that was the failing of a rather annoying guildies trial, we can finally be rid of him and maybe there will be a little less drama now.
On a similar sad note we did lose a long time friend of mine. For the first time ever Festergut dropped his hunter belt in 25man and a guy I have known since level 40 has been waiting a long time for it to do so. However with pugs in raid there was always going to be a risk and this time a pug rolled a 96 far beating out anyone else. Being a strong item the pug of cause (and rightfully so) would not hand over the belt to guildies and my friend go angry. Now he is prone to the occasional rage and has rage quit once before and seeing it coming I would not let it happen again. He may have picked me up from the airport when I went to Oz, but halfway through his "I'm out" speech in guild "/gkick" and he was gone. Its sad to do it but really we have no choice in pugging a few people and they will often want gear you do.If the choice is not run because you wont pug or risk loosing an item to a pug most people would choose to risk it.
All we can really do is move on and hope that soon we wont have to pug again.

Weekendend Wrap Up
So this weekend started looking promising with 24 online including trials for 25man, we didn't even have to pug the spot in trade having a previous pug contact us looking for an open spot. The raid went mostly as normal with the exception of picking up

its taken along time but every run we would surely get both hunters hit with spikes at the same time just as they stand apart, finally we had a run where no hunter was ever targeted. When we reached the Upper Spire and decided to do the Blood wing first to try for that Blood Queen kill finally. We quickly dispatched of Council as usual and then it all went south. Really the best word to describe it was "Messy" there was fire everywhere and people getting Mind Controlled and raiders with Dark Pact not moving to the center. Every attempt we got better at fire and the Blood Bolts but everything else just got worse and worse. Its truly painful to watch people who have the Kingslayer title dieing because someone else wont stop casting to run to the center. The night finished with Festergut, Rotface and disappointment.
The following night shared the same fate for half the guild. With only 20 on for night two we spilt into 10mans and with the help of offspecs two pug healers and an alt tank we took two teams into 10man for the first time in months. We hoped to down several hardmodes that night as well. I finally see what people have been saying about those Hardmodes being such a step up, it was nice to be challenged on Marrowgarr. For me it was a nice challenge for others in my team it proved impossible and we downed him on normal and set the pace for the whole night. Gunship Hardmode took two trys with a wipe due to Axe throwers hitting 3, yes that's max level. Deathbringer proved to much with only 2 ranged and even normal Putricide was asking to much from the team. It was odd at first glance the team looked solid but by the end of the night my officer, 3/4 through a bottle of Jager was still out performing some of these guys.
Finally with Sunday being mothers day I wasn't able to make it online after dinner, but that wouldn't matter as half my team couldn't come back. The other team however seemed to do much better.
The positive to this all is were closer to where we need to be numbers wise now we just need to thin out those that can't dance and we should be away.

Stars and Orbs
So we started this week by heading back into Ulduar 10 for another crack at Alaglon. Unlike last week we had the advantage of knowledge of the fight and a Shaman for Heroism. Much like last week we had a few wipes to Cosmic Smash, Black Holes and one weird miss pull. However after 35min inside everything clicked and and we had a near perfect fight and up popped

Then Friday we headed back to ICC25 with the 15% buff behind us praying for some real progress, and ended up short 7 people. After 30min in trade chat and several pugs later we started clearing our way though ICC. With the 15% the only fight that gave us any trouble was the Frozen Rotting Giant for the weekly raid. We quickly dispatched Deathbringer and I picked up a token towards my 4 piece for Hardmodes. We finished the night one shotting both Fester and Rotface and a 3 shot on Blood Prince's. The Princes proved a little difficult with many of the pugs having not killed them before. The first two attempts were awful with people being hit and killed by almost everything they shouldn't do, but they got the hang of it on attempt 3 and we downed them again also earning us

I finished Friday off with a quick trip to Maly for the weekly and another achieve

Tomorrow its back to ICC for Blood Queen if all goes well.

Lack of updates
Sorry its been a while that I've posted but not a lot has been happening this week.
Managed to get Algalon down to 5% in 10man for our first ever try.
In 25 man we had a solid night until we lost a few after Deathbringer and had to call it and followed that up with the usual lack of attendance on Saturday.
So basically all I'm doing at the moment is focusing on recruiting more so we can thicken out the ranks and get rid of these disappointments that halt our progression.

Weekend Update
Been a rather good weekend of the guild. Started our runs with 25ICC as usual on Friday and only had to pug in 3 people. Not much to not for the 25, we had a clean run through Rotface and Festergut and had been doing well until we got to Council. For some reason Council didn't click this week at all and every attempt was plagued with mistakes until we called it with some people having to leave and planning to return the following night.
Then on Sat only 18 guildies were able to show and we dropped any further 25mans this week to work on ICC10.
The run started well with Gunship finally after all these weeks dropping my shield.
We then proceeded to get both

but then we faltered on both Putricide and Valitria trying to get their achievements.
Saturday finished on a poor note of having all of Frostwing left.
Today we went back into 10man to clear Frostwing and continue on Lich King. After two shotting both Valithria and Sindragosa we made our way again to the Frozen Throne. It did not go well to start people were making silly mistakes over and over, attacking the Horrors before they got to me, standing in AoEs and missing cleanses.
Our best attempt of the night was 66%. Then with peoples dinner coming and one having to leave we called last attempt and went all out. People just did what they were meant to and it clicked, phase 1 was perfect, transition also perfect and we went cleanly into phase 2 with everyone alive and perfect positioning. For the first time we got solid attempts on the Defiles and Val'kyr. We ended up having some people falling off the end as we started to lose it a little but with myself and the healers alive we managed to push him to 45% before wipe setting a new bar of excellence for next week when we extend the lockout and push phase 3.

And Still the Sun Rises
Well back into ICC25 tonight and again were pugging people thankfully it was only 5 this time.
We step through the door to find the 10% buff has reset with the soft reset so already things are looking brighter. We make quick work of the trash into Plague wing and quickly start the night on Festergut. It starts well up until the first tank swap where moments before the taunt Rhetor my co-tank dies and Fester one shots Mcveigh, but we quickly recover and with the addition of more guildies and the 10% buff Fester hits the floor in record time.
Next stop was Rotface who not only is guild progression but several pugs had never done him before. So we do the usual quick explain and in we go, and boy did it get messy quick. People were falling all over the place, small ooze were in the raid and we used all 4 BRez. However despite the mess we kept hanging on, people dieing still and yet Rotface's health kept falling. Then at 3% down goes Rhet to a freak ooze attack and Rotface runs about killing. I rush in from the back of the room taunt and move him back to the center. Watching as his health drops point by point and with half a dozen oozes around the room and 15 people dead he dies. A one shot on Rotface, it was messy but still a one shot.
We then move to the Blood wing to try for Princes. Again another fight the pugs didn't know so after a quick break for the movie we started clearing trash, turns out that even with the additional MOBs the 25man trash causes us less issue than 10man. With trash gone we give a quick recap and pull princes. It went almost flawlessly with very few deaths and those that died were Rez'z and their rolls covered.
With the raid on a roll and time running low we shot quickly upstairs for the Blood Queen herself. We put out a few strong attempts on her with our best reaching the 60% mark with only four people bitten. In the end I'm very proud of our guild after the terror that was last night they bounced back beautifully to claim two progression bosses. On top of the progression one of the pugs, in fact the only one from trade that night turned out to be a mage who was just returning from break and despite being "rusty" still out DPS'd Boxoflunch one of my officers and our guilds best DPS. He will be joining our ranks and raiding with Lifé from now on.
Tomorrow we head back to Arthus in 10man and with strong 25man progression backing us we hope to see well into phase 2, if not his fall.

Bad Moon Rising
And I see trouble is on its way. At least that how tonight's raid went. Starting the night with 16 people on including some trials we trundled off to the raid weekly with the usual drama of people wanting to be their alts despite being told bring your mains in the previous weeks.
After 2 wipes on Noth the 12 that weren't saved finally downed him and we moved to ICC25 and pulling in pugs. Then it just go worse, with 6 pugs in the run consisting of obscure friends and trade chat members we continued to wipe 3 time on the trash to Marrowgarr. When we finally get to him we lose a trial healer to lag and replace then with a late coming guildie. The next four bosses were plagued with loot issues poor awareness bugs and the realisation at Deathbringer that some idiot had turned off our 10% buff with no way to turn it back on.
A messy Deathbringer, a new raider and a trash pull we almost didn't survive saw us on the stair to Festergut and Rotface. With the two as or raid weekly an old GM of mine from back in the days of Kara taught us how to abuse the weekly and claim badges without killing ether boss. You simple have Locks with their portal out of the room, druids or rouges with stealth or hunter with feign take both Rotfaces SlimeSpray and Festerguts Spores then leave combat and have the rest quickly die and bingo badges. Having these we went back for the Fester kill which with in-attentive pugs and no buff turned out to be 3-10% to much for us and the raid was called due to people having to leave after two wipes. I see little hope for the run tomorrow unless we get more guildies showing up and even then we wont be going for Bloodqueen without the Buff.
Then to add to the fun my partner has decided to take a break from WoW indefinitely, possibly to return in Catacysm. So with her spot empty I would like to welcome Mcveigh to the board of Officers.
Sunday will be back to ICC10 to extend the lockout and work on the Lich King after almost getting phase 1 down last week, hopefully this will go better than our 25 mans.
As for the guild there seem to be a lot of immaturity going around and less and less focus being put into raid, If anyone has some handy ideas on how to keep guildies in line and happy while everything is falling apart please feel free to comment I'd love to hear them.

Finaly Dedication
This week has gone amazingly better than before.
Friday was again a flop on ToGC but we had enough this time to send two groups into ICC10 and clear some bosses in there.
Then come Sunday we had 24 people show for ICC25 with two trials including a very geared DK tank. After the 25th Pug went offline in Deathwhisper a missing healer logged on a little late and was able to fill the spot for the 1st full guild run in a few months.
We proceeded to clear through the first four bosses without issue and then came time for progression.
We decided we had the DPS for Festergut and cleared to him first. After a few DC issues were sorted we went in and watched as the guild worked perfectly together. Then with a minute left on the timer we past the previous mark, he was dropping and we were on target. With 25 seconds left on the clock Festers stinky backside hit the floor and the first new boss was down.
On to Rotface and we were confidant, a quick rundown for the few who had yet to see him and we went in. The run went well bar a few first time mistakes but in the end bad luck caught us when the Fester tank was nuked by four slime bombs at once at 10%. Then with a few people haveing to leave we went back in. The second attempt was anything but perfect with slimes in raid and people all over the place but they held it well with a second wipe at 10% again this time half the raid dead when i went down.
It seems the promise of no more ToGC nights and no longer missing raids finally got a fire under them. So TOGC worked just not in the way i wanted, rather than teach them the skills they needed it made them find the skills out of hate.
I can't argue with results though.
Next week sadly I'll be in Australia and having dinner at Dracula's so cant raid 25man. Hopefully they can progress without me though and get Rotface down.

When it rains, it pours.
Saturdays raid started like all the others do latly, done a few people and pugging.
We finially got in and started clearing and right away we had some people leaveing for different reasons. By the time we got to Marrowgarr the 2 pugs had turned into 6 total.
After a quick 2 shot of Marrowgarr what should drop but those legs
Ive been waiting 9 weeks for. Well as Murphys Law would have it the pug that was brought in without having our loot rules explained rolls and wins them. Well im pissed but he was not told that his roll would be based from our loot window and therefor they had to go to him.
The run continued on a bad note as we took 3 attempts to down Deathwhisper.
Then things started looking up. Gunship went flawlessly, then Deathbringer Died with not one but two Paladin tokens. Going to myself and another pally for my 2 peice 10.25. Then followed that by the tank that won the legs giving them to me lack of gold to enchant and gem/assumed I tank more. I was very happy with that was very kind of him and he didn't need to do it. We finished the night by almost downing Festergut but not quite having the DPS to do so. Then it was a quick Hearth back to Dalaran for my Cataclysmic Chestguard and to gem and enchant my now 3 upgrades.
Now I'm just waiting on Gunship10 to drop its shield to get me out of 232 gear completly.

Frustrations Mount
Tonight was supposed to be as usual a quick run of the weekly raid followed by ToGC 25man.
I say was "supposed" to be. The Weekly was not quick with people showing up late and an attempt at 4 tower FL25 failing horribly at 40%.
Then came ToGC, with 23 people online. After pugging in 2 DPS we went in for the guilds first ever attempt at 25 ToGC in months. Right from the start the reasons for us being there became painfully obvious. Awareness and co-operation were terrible. People dieing to fires Snowbalds dieing slowly it was not a good experience to say the least.
Couple all this with a new tank recruit quitting WoW putting us down to 2 MS tanks and one of our veteran Ret Pallys also quiting and moral is not doing well.
There is only so much one man as their leader and his officers can do to help this kind of situation and its starting to wear me thin.
Cracks I'm sure are starting to show, I try to hide them behind a push to talk key but they must show through in my tone of voice on days like today. Sadly with hiding this from guild allot of it ends up wrongly on my partners shoulders who most of the time is very accepting of it. More so though its coming through at work as I put up with far less crap from the people I don't like.
I'm really starting to look forward to my trip to Sydney next month as an escape from the pressure. I find myself more and more starting to envy those guild such as BoE's Pants on Head who raid without a care and do so for friendship and fun, some of that is starting to slip away.
My biggest worry is if I can't sort this out soon it may led to burn out for the first time in 4 years.
I need a vacation.

Raid in waiting
So far a very poor start to my raiding weekend. Friday nights ToGC was a bust with 15 people showing up and tonight I had to pass on ICC25 because we have gone over our broadband cap and were getting good 1 minuite stalls in vent and game.
I spose I should have known, have downloaded 7 PS3 demos as well as Eve Online. How Ive had to increase our plan so that we can raid the rest of the month. I just pray that the change goes through before 10mans tomorrow night.

Weekend recap
Another bad week for 25mans with the first 4 down quick on Fri dispite bringing in 4 pug, then falling flat on its face Sat when 20 people showed up and the run had to be called. Alot of people are starting to get frustrated at the lack of progression and not raiding for lack of members really isn't helping.
Sunday rolled round and again lack of players had us running only one team with the rest left to pug. Then the night started to look up alittle knocked out Marrowgarr who after giving my lead heals Master Looter proved that he really didn't like me and finally handed over my mace. Then after our Deathbringer kill we found our daily was for Festergut and Rotface. So off we went after Rotface for progression and emblems, then after wiping twice for bad server lag and 3 other wipes Rotface finally fell in 10man. We had the debuff and a progression kill all we needed was a quick easy Festergut and 5 EoF would be ours.
Then an unlucky crit streek saw both tanks on one stack of debuff, we carryed on but when it came time for the second tank transition both tanks still had 9stacks of the debuff and nether to fall off before the 10th Bloat went off. BANG! I explode half our melee and 2 of our heals down at 5%. But the remaining 5 players solo tanked and healed the remainder down for the kill.
We finished the night with a strong 2 attempts at Valithria getting her up to (96% odd with 1million health left to heal. Hoping for one quick knock on tuesday before reset to move us forward.
Next week were coming for you Putricide.

Weak Weekend for 25's
Not a great start to this weekends raiding.
Had 19 show up on friday, so ended up skipping ICC that night and just knocking out the raid weekly and doing some PvP.
Saturday improved slightly. Had 22 show up on time and with the help of some out of guild friends we got in almost on time.
Saturday must of been our lucky day, epics just seemed to rain from the sky.
First we have http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49960 drop in the trash pre-Marrowgarr, then http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49960 from the Giant skeleton himself making my first ICC upgrade outside of Emblems.
The both http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50452 and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50447 drop on Deathwhispers trash giving me another upgrade.
Finally http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50453 drops on the way to gunship as we one shot the new weekly raid for the Rotting Frost Giant.
Sadly the good luck stopped there when my officer DK was plauged by disconnects on Festergut for reasons we couldnt figure out. Got the guy to 13% before we hit enrage with 2 DCs and one of our non-guildie raiders pulling under my OT. Gives us confidance thought that next week his gassy self will be downed.
Finished the night with a quick pop into 10man to clear the 1st 4 bosses for a chance a progression tomorrow. Once again another week without any 10man tank drops im starting to think I will see one of Arthus's weapons before Marrowgarr drops his.
